This four-week online course will bring forward concepts, misconceptions, suggestions, and the opportunity for self-examination in service of becoming better allies to Indigenous people. If you are open to new ideas and willing to investigate your own background, biases and beliefs, this course could be for you.

Topics and Speakers

Meet Yourself, Future Ally

Making Space vs Taking Space.

Appreciation, Not Appropriation. Also, honesty.

What’s Next?

The course will incorporate reading/viewing and reflection opportunities as well as four one-hour zoom webinars, dates announced in advance. These webinars will feature Native and non-Native pairings, on zoom to talk about their relationships, differences in approaches to collaboration and communication, and how they built trust. These paired conversations will be the centerpiece of the course; to achieve candor and to build a sense of community, these meetings will not be recorded. You must be present to experience them.
